Tanner grew up with little to nothing. Their parents, Esther Illrune and Alice Illrune, always worked multiple jobs to make ends meet. This meant they were rarely home, for some children, they would resent their parents - Tanner, however, grew up rather quickly. They saw the efforts of their parents, coming home late, sleeping for a few hours only to turn around and have a full plate of breakfast prepared for Tanner while they had toast and coffee. They were not blind to their mothers sacrifices.
This is what brought them to art, it was an easy way to make extra coin. Commission a painting or two for a tourist coming through the streets of Limani and earn a few gold to help contribute to the household.
Tanner opened their art studio in Limani just when they turned 18. Since then, they have been able to lift the burden their parents had to bear for so many years. Nowhere near rich, but comfortable enough.
Tanner is happiest, living home with their parents, and they in turn, are happy to have them there.
