Twin Town

Description and Atmosphere:

A pair of feuding sisters built back-to-back on a rocky outcropping. Identical in almost every way except for their undying rivalry, they're a cacophony of fish markets, pirate taverns, and whispers of buried treasure.

West: Tyrus.
East: Sidon.

While normally referred to as Twin Town, the residents usually find the name extremely insulting due to the harsh rivalry between the two.

Culture:

Mostly depressing pockets of civilization along the Sunset Coast with relatively little influence on the world at large. Their denizens still maintain high local pride, though, and are still expert sailors. Though both are somewhat unique in their somewhat dominant religious worship.

Tyrus: Worship of Hespera, goddess of dusk. Rituals: Prayer and libations of honey and wine at dusk, facing west, and the festival of the night, once a year.

Sidon: Worship of Eos, goddess of dawn. Rituals: Pre-dawn rituals of washing with dew and prayer. Symbolic offerings at the temple when requesting blessings. The spring equinox festival.

History and Significance:

Significance and Economy:

Both towns bolster a rich history of maritime dominance, though not much is left of it today, as both towns are currently just large fish markets with a significant smuggler and pirate presence.

Conflicts:

Despite their shared cultural and linguistic background, they often competed for trade dominance and political influence, leading to periods of conflict and hostility.

History:
Both cities are believed to have been established long ago, and both share historical tellings as maritime centers, known for their skilled seafarers and thriving trade networks, though not much of that remains today
