Zai's family were skilled Warforged makers. His father, a retired forge overseer, was approached by a dying Doro Kin and was tasked with building him a body mechanical body with immense power. Aided by his wife, second born son and his Dwarven servant he built the most powerful of machinations capable of holding and channeling immense arcane power. Once complete, Diion had his essence merged with the powerful machine creating a being of pure power. He'd transcended into what would be comparable to Godhood. As thanks Diion granted the three family members equal share of a slice of his power should they need it. The magic that the Zai family had used coupled with the unique circumstances rendered all of this extremely taboo, and eventually the word got out. Convinced that they were being hunted they went into hide in the mountains by Enghilm; in a repossessed tomb of some kind. Years afterwards Zai's mother died of illness, and a few years after that the father committed suicide by poisoning. Diion's power was now wielded by Vixari alone. Vixari was told by Diion to search for a powerful artifact called "The God Ring," a ring that connects their spirit to the world forever after death and further enhances the user's power through their deity. Vixari now ventures out to search for this item whilst searching for his brother, Kavori, along the way; leaving Paglor the Dwarven servant to guard the home.
