Redmond, the second largest region in Rivermond, is known for its hardened war veterans and rigorous way of life. The people of Redmond uphold a strict yet chivalrous lifestyle, with the Bison Knights embodying their formidable reputation. Despite their devout belief in the Silver Prince, they harbor a deep-seated distrust for the Dominion Church, which shares their faith. This paradox of strict religious adherence combined with openness to outsiders creates a unique cultural environment. The region's towns and cities are governed by various noble families, each contributing to the overall strength and prosperity of Redmond.

Geography

Redmond's geography is as diverse as its populace. The city of Redmond, the heart of the region, sits atop a hill surrounded by flatlands. This compact city is characterized by its densely packed buildings and close-knit community. To the northeast, Riverstone nestles within the mountainous Riverhills, well-protected and known for its extensive underground rivers and lakes. The town of Moorn, located centrally, is famed for the Tytan Cathedral, the largest house of worship in the region. Bullholm, initially a midway stop for traders, has evolved into a bustling town along active trade routes. Bearmount, to the west, takes its name from local legends of bear-riding settlers, adding a touch of folklore to the area. Wildrun, in the northernmost part of Rivermond, is a village renowned for its horse breeders, supplying mounts for the region’s knights. The Riverwoods and Highmarsh form natural borders, with the latter being a deadly swamp that deters invaders.

The central city of Redmond, under the leadership of Oliver Rocks, exemplifies the region’s hardworking spirit. Riverstone, ruled by the Stromberg family, thrives on mining and water reserves, despite its strict flood prevention measures. Moorn, watched over by the Weller family, serves as a religious hub where people seek guidance from Mother Superior Letina Heiden. Bullholm has grown into a commercial center under the Eisenhorn family, benefiting from its strategic location on trade routes. Bearmount, led by the Reinhardt family, is steeped in local legends and known for its fearless inhabitants. Wildrun, governed by the Hoffner family, supports the region’s cavalry with its renowned horse breeding. The economy of Redmond is diverse, with mining, trade, agriculture, and horse breeding being key industries. The people’s reputation for toughness and their strategic locations ensure a robust economic foundation.

Military Strength

Redmond’s military might is formidable, reflecting the region’s martial tradition and strategic capabilities. The city of Redmond can muster five thousand foot soldiers, five hundred crossbowmen, two thousand mounted soldiers, five hundred mounted knights, and two hundred loyal and hired ogres. Riverstone contributes one thousand foot soldiers, two hundred crossbowmen, five hundred longbowmen, and one hundred wyvern knights, leveraging its mountainous terrain and mining wealth. Bullholm, with its growing population, can rally three thousand foot soldiers and one thousand mounted soldiers. Bearmount, despite its smaller size, can field three thousand foot soldiers and two hundred bear riders, drawing on its legendary bear-riding heritage. Moorn can raise three thousand foot soldiers and two hundred knights, with additional support from the Paladins of the The Order of the Silver Hand under Mother Superior’s command. This diverse and powerful military force underscores Redmond’s ability to defend its territory and exert influence within Rivermond. The potential alliance with druids and forest creatures from the Riverwoods adds an unpredictable and potent element to Redmond’s defense strategy.
