Wildrun is a village in the most northern point in all of Rivermond. Located in the flatlands and home to a large population of horse breeders, this is where Redmond and many of the Knights of Rivermond acquire their mounts from. The way they breed and train their horses in Wildrun is unique in Rivermond and some think their roots come from the Khein Dynasty. The village and the surrounding lands are watched and ruled by the Hoffner family.
Places of interest.
- The Great Stable: A large stable located in the center of Wildrun. It
is renowned throughout the region for its exceptional horses, which are
known for their speed and endurance. The stable is owned and operated by
the Hoffner family, who have been in the horse breeding business for
generations. Visitors to the stable can expect to see horses of all
breeds and sizes, as well as a knowledgeable staff who are happy to
answer any questions about horse care and training.
- Long Barn Inn: A cozy inn located just down the road from the Great Stable. Owned by the young part time bard Nill Ferus. It is a
popular spot for travelers who are passing through the village, as well
as locals who are looking for a place to relax and socialize. The inn is
known for its hearty meals and warm hospitality, and guests can choose
from a variety of rooms, ranging from simple and affordable to luxurious
and spacious.
- The Enduring Steel: The local blacksmith and forge. Owned by Linus Mane. While smiths at the forge primarily specialize in horse
tools and horseshoes, they are also known to repair and sell arms and
armor from time to time. The blacksmiths at the Enduring Steel are
highly skilled and take great pride in their work. Visitors can watch
them at work in the forge, and may even be able to commission custom
items if they have the coin to spare.
- Layla's Solutions: The local herbalist and healer. Layla Mane is a skilled healer who uses a
combination of traditional herbal remedies and magic to treat a variety
of ailments. She is highly respected in the community, and is known for
her kind and gentle nature. Visitors to her shop can purchase a variety
of potions, salves, and other herbal remedies, as well as seek advice on
how to treat their ailments.
- Hoffner Estate: The home of Lord Hoffner, the Lord of Wildrun and one of the wealthiest and most powerful landowners in the region. The estate is located on the outskirts of Wildrun, and is surrounded by sprawling fields and woodlands. While Lord Hoffner is known for his wealth and influence, he is also respected for his fairness and generosity. The estate is home to a variety of crops and livestock, and visitors can often purchase fresh produce and meat at the local markets.
