Belladon Kardean was born into a family of minor nobility in the neighboring barony of Redmond. She was well-educated and well-mannered, but had always been a bit reserved and shy. When she met Kyle Kardean, it was a whirlwind romance, and they were married within a year. At first, Belladon was happy to be the wife of a baron, but as time went on, she found herself becoming increasingly unhappy.
