Angus Mountainbreaker was born to the Mountainbreaker family. His older brother, Lord Craig Mountainbreaker, was already serving as the Arch-baron of Rivermond at the time of his birth. As a child, Angus idolized his brother and dreamed of one day becoming a great knight like him. However, Angus was not as gifted with the sword as his brother, and as he grew older, he realized that his talents lay elsewhere. He had a sharp mind for business, and he became quite adept at negotiating with the merchants and craftsmen in the town.
When Lord Craig was called away to serve the Arch-Baron's army, Angus was left in charge of Oakheart. At first, he was intimidated by the responsibility, but he soon found that he had a natural talent for leadership. He worked hard to maintain the peace in the town and to ensure that the needs of his people were met. Over time, Angus came to see his role as head of the town as a great honor, and he was determined to prove himself to his brother and to the people of Oakheart. He invested in the town's infrastructure, building a new tavern and improving the roads that led to the nearby cities. He also worked to strengthen the town's defenses, building a sturdy wall around the perimeter and training a small militia to defend against bandits and raiders. When Craig returned he was pleased with his brother and Angus was granted the responsibility to ward the nearby town of Honeyfair.
Despite his successes, Angus still feels overshadowed by his brother's accomplishments, and he is always eager to prove his worth. He continues to work hard to ensure that the people of Honeyfair are safe, prosperous, and happy, and he hopes that one day he will earn the same level of respect and admiration as his brother.
