Dao Nagarax Min was a legendary figure in the history of the Nagan Empire. Born into a minor noble family in the northwestern region of Midora in the year 800 of the First Age, Dao rose to power in a time of great turmoil and unrest. The region was divided into countless small kingdoms and tribes, each vying for power and dominance. Dao saw the potential for something greater, and set out to unite the disparate factions under a single banner. He was a skilled warrior and a charismatic leader, known for his ability to inspire his troops with his speeches and battle cries. He made people believe he had the divine on his side. He quickly gained a reputation as a fearsome opponent on the battlefield, leading his armies to victory in a series of bloody conflicts against rival kingdoms and tribes.
As his power grew, Dao began to implement a series of reforms designed to strengthen his hold on the region. He established a system of centralized government, with governors and officials appointed to oversee various regions and cities. He also introduced a uniform legal code and taxation system, which helped to streamline the empire's administration and provide much-needed revenue. The Empire was in its prime for some time, peace across the vast territories.
Until the arrival of the seafaring warlords of Kalamar who posed a serious threat to the Nagan Empire, which at that time had been at its peak and had very few threats that required large armies. The Empire was left heavily undefended due to its size, and the raiding and enslavement of nearby villages by the Kalamar warlords quickly became a serious problem. The Empire attempted several times to overrun the raiders, but their ability to endure and withstand the Empire's tactics made the nobility realize that they needed another approach. It was then that Dao Nagarax Min himself, along with two mysterious figures, appeared before six Kalamar warlords with gifts of gold and a proposal.
The proposal was simple: they were offered land within the Empire and lordship if they would stop raiding and settle, to defend the Empire against future invaders. Two of the six warlords accepted the proposal and quickly slew the other warlords. These two warlords became the first Warlord Clans of the Nagan Empire, Clan Yaggard and Clan Yurami. Over time, the Warlord Clans became more accustomed to the local ways and eventually became the first Samurai of the Empire. They transformed from savage raiders to honorable warriors who watched over the Empire with a fierce loyalty and dedication to their new homeland.
This move proved to be a turning point for the Empire, as the Warlord Clans became a powerful force in the Empire's defense and were able to quell any future threats from the Kalamar warlords or other invaders. The Nagan Empire reached new heights of power and prosperity under the guidance of Dao Nagarax Min, who is remembered as a visionary leader and a brilliant strategist who united the various tribes and kingdoms of the region under his banner.
Dao Nagarax Min died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 371 in the year 191 of the Second Age, after a long and successful reign. Young for a high elf some say but his life had many hardships. He was mourned by his people as a great leader and visionary, whose legacy would endure for centuries to come. The Nagan Empire continued to thrive under the rule of his successors, but it was Dao who was remembered as the father of the empire, a legendary figure whose name would be forever enshrined in the annals of history.
