Konno Kuroshi grew up in a tough household with a demanding father who instilled a strong work ethic in him. This led to Konno becoming a tough and disciplined leader in his own right, but he also has a sense of responsibility to the people of Kuju. He oversees the mining operations in Kuju and is known to run a tight operation. Safety is a top priority for him, and he will not tolerate any misconduct or carelessness that puts the lives of his workers at risk. His leadership style may be tough, but he has the respect of his workers and the villagers.
Konno has always been content to let his younger sister, Kasumi, handle the affairs of the village. He has no interest in politics or diplomacy, preferring to focus on the practical aspects of running a successful mining operation. However, he has a soft spot for his sister and will do anything to protect her and the people of Kuju. Despite his tough exterior, Konno does have a sense of pride in his older sister Kitani, who serves as a Captain among the Yurami Samurai. He sees her as a symbol of the Kuroshi family's strength and loyalty to the Yurami Clan, but he maintains a distant relationship with her since she left Kuju to serve the clan.
