At a young age, she had heard stories of the outside world from travelling merchants and dreamed of seeing it for herself. When the day finally came for her to be sold off, she gathered all the gold and jewelry she could find and fled in the dead of night. Her journey was perilous and fraught with danger, but she was determined to survive. She crossed the sea north and eventually arrived in the port of Shinto, where she used her remaining resources to buy a small house. With a bit of ingenuity, she began to rent out rooms to travellers passing through the town.
As her reputation grew, she invested more and more into her home, eventually transforming it into the Five Blessings Inn. Saito Kuuyo became known for her exceptional hospitality and attention to detail, ensuring that all of her guests felt welcomed and comfortable during their stay. Over time, the Five Blessings Inn became one of the most popular places to stay in Shinto, attracting travellers from all across the land. Saito Kuuyo was proud of what she had accomplished and was determined to continue growing her business and making a name for herself in the town.
