Zetra Wildshade

Sorceress and Master of Conjuration
NPC

Zetra Wildshade is a dark elf sorceress who is shrouded in mystery and secrecy. She is known for her mastery of conjuration magic, and for her innate ability to manipulate shadows in her vicinity. Her striking appearance sets her apart from other dark elves, as she has notably pale skin and slick white hair. Her origins are unknown, but it is believed that she came to Rivermond in her early youth, and her fashion sense hints towards having roots in the Vache Kingdom. Zetra is a solitary figure who keeps to herself, and she is often accompanied by a fellow dark elf woman who appears to be her bodyguard. The reasons for her need for protection are unknown, but her bodyguard's presence suggests that Zetra has enemies or that she is involved in dangerous dealings.

Despite her reclusive nature, Zetra sometimes teaches at the Arcane Academy, but she has never taken a position as a teacher. Her classes are highly sought after by advanced students who are seeking to expand their knowledge of conjuration magic. Zetra is a demanding teacher, and she expects her students to be dedicated and focused. Zetra is known to be highly skilled in her own right, and she does not appear to be the social type. Her leather coats and jackets, rather than robes or capes, suggest that she values practicality over ostentation. Her choice of clothing is also reminiscent of the clothing worn in the Vache Kingdom, which further fuels speculation about her origins.

Despite her mastery of magic, Zetra is not invincible. Her power comes with a price, and she is rumored to have made dark bargains in the past to obtain her knowledge and abilities. Some believe that her use of shadow magic has left her soul tainted, and that she is doomed to pay a heavy price for her power.

A Sudden Arrival

Zetra's arrival at the Arcane Academy in her mid-twenties was a controversial moment in the school's history. Some of the headmasters believed that she was too untested and inexperienced to be admitted to the Academy, and they saw her as a potential risk to the other students. However, Headmaster Fi Fa Fo saw something special in Zetra. He recognized her raw potential and believed that with proper guidance, she could become a powerful sorceress. Fi Fa Fo saw that Zetra possessed an innate talent for conjuration magic, and he believed that she could benefit greatly from the Academy's resources and teachings.

Despite objections from some of the other headmasters, Fi Fa Fo convinced Grand Master Lupricall to allow Zetra to remain at the Academy. Maximus saw that Zetra was determined and focused, and he believed that she had the potential to become one of the Academy's greatest students. From the moment she arrived at the Academy, Zetra threw herself into her studies. She spent countless hours in the library, poring over ancient tomes and grimoires. She practiced her spells tirelessly, honing her abilities until they were second nature. Despite her dedication and hard work, Zetra faced challenges and setbacks along the way. Some of the other students were suspicious of her, and she found it difficult to make friends. She also struggled with certain aspects of magic, such as divination and abjuration, which did not come as naturally to her as conjuration.

However, Zetra's determination and perseverance paid off in the end. She proved herself to be a talented and skilled sorceress, and she gained the respect of many of the other students and teachers at the Academy. Her success also vindicated Fi Fa Fo's decision to admit her to the school, and it helped to establish her as one of the Academy's most promising students.
