Together they kidnap the innocents of Silver Ridge and use their lives as barter for the Creator Chalice. After acquiring it, they go together to Ectin Falls and take over the newly completed train with the intention of using the Chalice and the Ectin drill as a bomb in the Four Nations. Verboden stops them. Jarl falls off the train and his fate is uncertain.
