Ayen Raloydark was of a regent family in Manannan Port during the Year of Invasions. While he managed to escape the siege, it was under no small amount of shame. Eventually joining with the Fianna Mór he aided them during this great time of civil unrest as the wandered the land seeking to undo the powers of a power archfey known as the Queen of Night and Hunger. Ayen was a peerless marksman and capable of summoning and manipulating spiders. The lughlinn could also duplicate himself en mass to great effect, launching volleys of highly accurate arrow fire.
However, this highly praised warrior and servant of the crown was eventually laid low in a desperate attempt to save his compatriots during a cavern collapse following a bitter fight with a crucible wurm in Idiraillte at the southern edges of the Ardenroots. While they managed to free the town the beast had been domineering by secretly masquerading as the Ardruid Brigid, it was at the cost of Ayen's life. In death he named Sine his successor and she went on to do the name of Raloydark proud. None in the northern reaches of Tailté na Bearú have forgotten the mighty deeds and imperious attitude of Ayen of the Screaming Webs.
