There exists rumors of a path leading to the lows of the eastern Ardenroots. There in a small, blighted valley of ice and snow is a dark cavern. This cavern and valley, Áit an Bhróin, is a place of sorrows. Here the Unseelie courts frequently parlay with each other and its said this was where the Huldufolk first sprang forth from the darkness below. The cavern is said to wind deep into the earth, to a place darker than dark and filled with strange nightmares that gnaw at the roots of the old Ardenroots. A separate path is whispered to lead to northward to Dun Scaich castle, the home of the Queen of Air and Darkness who holds grudges against each and every mortal of the Inis.

Many who go in search of this place never return. Although their disappearances may be far more mundane than one might expect. They could have been waylaid by Digir guards, captured by Huldufolk slavers, lost and consumed by Coillte ag Screadaíl or any succumbed to any other number of horrible things that lurk between the cold waves of the northern An Mhuir Thoir and the imperious reaches of the Ardenroots. But, there is always that chance they found the place, its haunted tunnels, its bewitched crags, and descended into the shadows of the earth itself in search of lost knowledge or secret treasures only to be consumed by Trynnalta and forgotten.
