After the ending of the Age of Summer, the adherents and descendants of the Ardruid Unknown fled south with the rest of their kinsmen. From that point forward they became simply the Goibnu Grove. For the next few centuries the Goibnu Grove was the sole scholastic body with enough retained information to accurately describe the Ardruids, performs impactful magic and knew the secrets to creating and maintaining the menhirs of the inisa.

However, in RE 2809 AoA, a series of clashes between idealistic views began fomenting discontent among the Grove. Shortly after, it erupted into an arcane shadow war between the more scholarly minded individuals who believed that magic and knowledge needed to be controlled and the philosophical minds of the clerical members who saw the Ardruids as divine and deemed their blessings necessary to defend the inisa.

In the end a schism formed and the groves separation into the to unique entities it is today was brokered by the then High Arcanist Bowen Adair. Continuing along its own rationality, the Sacred Grove of Inis Mona is comprised of clerics, bards and philosophers all seeking to understand and grow close to the Arduids. When religious matters need to be handled the Toscaire of Dòchas Ùr call upon the venerated minds of the Sacred Grove.

To fill their ranks and to afford greater reach to the people of the inisa, the Grove has begun incorporating any voluntary Hedge Druids and allowing this rank to form the entry rank for new members.
