Mikhail is Usubeni Nihiko's young son. Father not named or known, but he was an adventurer Usubeni knew during her travels after the calamity. He was originally left at an Ul'dhan Orphanage, as Usubeni was unable to care for him due to her lifestyle, but since she's settled down with the company, he lives with her and can often be found napping in the loft with coloring pages as well as in the library taking lessons on occasion.
Mikhail is a polite and cheerful young boy who loves candy, sweets and fried fish. He idolizes the adventurers he sees around him and wants to grow up to protect his family and friends. He has a better grasp of his letters and arithmetic than his unschooled mother and often gets doted on by the employees.
