Etymology
The region of Nexentrum was not always known by that name. It was once known as Eilsarn ("Lands of the South") by ancient elves. But when Kytheon Nexen I and six other warriors united the tribes of the region in 215 AR, they became inspired by the martial doctrine of Lumiel the Dawnbringer, establishing the first city of Nexentrum, Nexaria, with Kytheon as its first king. From then on, the region was known simply as Nexen. But when the Nexentrum Empire was established in the year 500 AR, Emperor Kytheon Nexentrum I aptly renamed the region to Nexentrum.
