Every Aegisian knows the legend of Ardeiria of the House of Valiron. After the Valsolis War, the Nexentrum Empire had encroached on her ancient home of Aegis, and she needed an answer on how to stop it. Leaving the city in the care of her trusted magisters, she set out on a thirty year journey to explore Wakova and it's people, with the final goal of reaching the Mistpeak Mountains. There she believed she would find the answers she as looking for.
There in the mountains, Ardeiria climbed the highest peaks in an attempt to call out to the gods. She waited for months on the snow-capped peaks, surviving on nothing but the land and her keen instincts. There she experienced visions and premonitions calling her to a cave hidden deep within the Mistpeaks, there she found answers. Within the cave sat riches untouched by the dwarves, free for the taking. There in front of it all, stood Teno the Seeker.
Teno confided in Ardeiria, telling her that the reason the gods were no longer present in the material plane was due to the Desolate Cascade. His son, Zephyriel, was the one who sparked a war between the Kindred deities, causing the storms that ravaged the land for decades. He explained his regrets about his son and the dangers of arcane magic. The Desolate Cascade was only the beginning, and more proof of the danger magic posed on the world was given by the Storm of Darkness in Akumara. With this he gave Ardeiria a choice, either allow the world to fall further in to chaos, or worship his new ideals, saving the world from arcane corruption.
Ardeiria accepted Teno's generous offer, bringing the knowledge of wealth and divine guidance back to Aegis. Her new task given by Teno was to unify all of Wakova, not just under the rule of Aegis, but under the aspects of the Nether god himself. Returning home, she began to spread the story of her journey, her claims of riches and the arcane quickly growing in popularity among the peoples of Wakova. With the growth of her popularity came the growth of her political power. This allowed her to transform Aegis in to an anti-magic theocracy, uniting neighboring city-states under the banner of the Aegis Ascendancy and the Order of Teno with the goal of stopping the spread of arcane corruption.
Personality
Ardieria is said to be cold and reserved, unable to express her own emotions but thoughtful to others, trying her best to bring out the ambition by those who surround her. With strong convictions, she has motherly instinct who doesn't trust in others.
