The Lurching Tower is an ancient stronghold originally built by the Druids of the Circle of Death. This Circle is long forgotten but they once layed claim to the territory now called The Mournland. After the Druids mysterious disappearance, the tower was claimed by the Khoravire royal guard as an outpost stopping people from venturing into the Glowing Chasm. Although because of the Lurching Towers position inside the claimed territory of the great dragon "Haze-Of-Death", only Warforged are allowed to inhabit the tower. These Warforged, employed by the Khoravaire Military Enforcement, patrol the Chasm and stop trespasser's from exploring the Chasm due to its volatile nature, as well as prevent anything crawling out of the chasm from venturing too far towards the cities.
