The matriarch of Stormfall Ironworks, a former raider who took an arrow to the knee both literally and metaphorically. A near-lethal shot (from Unknown, coincidentally) knocked her off of her gaunt, and she was left to die by her squadron-- her life was saved by a lone fisherman, Bevan, who'd managed to hide from the raiders. They found themselves well-matched in temperament and love of quality weaponry, and would soon marry and start a smithy together. Their blades are well-renowned by Ironlands standards, but Miga's new family never stayed in one place for too long, fearing that her past would come back to haunt them. Her bad leg is getting worse, though, and she hopes that the pleasant forests of Mossgrove can be their permanent home.
Miga truly just wants the best for her family and her business, but her pushy, irreverent nature grates on the traditionally polite folks of Mossgrove, and her secretiveness about her past raises their suspicions. Her relationship with her son, Togan, is testy; she wouldn't trade him for anything, but their personalities are simply so different that she doesn't know how to handle him, and her insecurity about parenting in general doesn't mix well with her raider's spartan pride. She orchestrates the arranged marriage between him and Lucya partly for political advantage, but mostly to ensure he can support himself should something happen to her.
