Drulkalatar Atesh, known as the Feral Hand, is the prakhutu of The Wild Heart. He is a powerful druid has been working to manipulate the prophecy and release the Wild Heart for thousands of years. He is a member of the Lords of Dust, but he rarely actually attends the Bleak Council, having no interest in their scheming. He is a predator, like his master, and he tolerates the scheming he must do because he knows it is the only way to release the Wild Heart and return the world to an age of savagery.
Drulkalatar spent the last several decades masquerading as an Oni, Drul Kantar, who emerged from Khyber a few years before the formation of Droaam. He seemed to be playing a long game, and had been subtly influencing the other warlords of Droaam whenever they met, though he seemed to be pushing them towards sustainability as a nation.
Whilst his plans as the oni Drul Kantar were uncertain, Drulkalatar has come close to releasing the Wild Heart on several occasions, including during the Silver Crusade, where the Wild Heart actually managed to manifest an avatar in the Towering Wood. It is possible that he had a hand in the ravaging of Thrane at the claw of Sarmondelaryx, as well. Everywhere that Drulkalatar goes, savagery seems to follow.
He had been undoubtedly following prophetic threads, working at yet another attempt at releasing his master. Regardless of his skill at inflitration, it's hard to believe that he had somehow evaded the attention of Sora Teraza. Perhaps the Daughters of Sora Kell had their own plans in the cauldron that involved the fiend. The timing of the Droaam Summit was surely no accident, and by inviting the Mist Walkers, it seems that the Daughters may very well have orchestrated the failure of Drulkalatar's latest attempt to release the Wild Heart.
