Daruuc is a Bugbear of the Kech Shaarat. He got lost on a resource gathering expedition in the Ironlands, and surfaced from Khyber in the Labyrinth, rather than the city of the Kech Shaarat. He was found by a patrol of the Maruk Ghaash'kala, and offered the same choice that they offer all who wander the Demon Wastes: join them, and dedicate his life to Kalok Shash, or die. Daruuc was familiar of tales of the Gatekeepers, who had helped the Dhakaani to fight against the Daelkyr, and his curiosity got the better of him.
He finds life among the Ghaash'kala agreeable, and though he keeps telling himself that he'll one day return home, he doesn't really believe it. He has been branded with the Brand of Kalok Shash, and though he has been given the tattoos of the Maruk, his fur covers them most of the time.
