7th Lharvion, 999 YK
- Zoateka gestures for them to go back into the hallway.
- Rotrak comments to Xander about him not joining in on them attacking Drolga. Xander states his help wasn't needed, clearly.
- Okor opens the door to the large chamber opposite, revealing another group of Zakya Rakshasa. There are tables spread throughout this room, with maps, cards, dice, and food spread throughout. It's like a rakshasa war-room/break room.
- Zoateka steps into the fighting ring in the center of the room, and gives them chance to make any preperations they feel will help them.
- Okor gives his Shielding Salve to Szfalka.
- Xander asks about the hell hounds, will they be fighting too? Zoateka says not if they impress her.
- Szfalka poisons his weapons.
- Xander uses his time on Recall Knowledge checks, probing for weaknesses. The rest of them follow his lead, and they all fail.
- They review their spell lists, and then get into position. Zoateka is in the center of the room, they surround her.
- Xander summons a Trickster's Mirror to defend him.
- Mirnac says a haiku as she bows to Zoateka, and then she casts Guidance on Okor.
- Okor moves in and swings his enormous hammer, and it takes Zoateka by surprise. He just manages to get through her parry, which she wasn't expecting them to manage.
- Okor then attempts to shove her, to help set up for Szfalka. He presses the advantage, and manages to push her back into Szfalka, so that both of them are flanking her.
- Zoateka disengages from Okor, does a flourish with her spear and summons a duplicate spear for each member of the group. She then attacks Okor, as the extra spears attack the rest of the group. One of them impales Mirnac.
- Zoateka then grabs the hammer floating next to her and spins, hitting Szfalka with it, as her spear dislodges from Okor and begins to hover next to her.
- Xander sustains his Trickster's Mirror and then tries to hit Zoateka with a ray of chilling frost but the spear takes the hit.
- Szfalka tries to get past Zoateka's defenses and she blocks with the hammer, he can't get through.
- Rotrak runs up next to Zoateka and tries to infect her with his fungal spores, enfeebling her.
- Mirnac, coughing up blood, patches herself up. She gets a crit success on the treat wounds check, healing quite a lot of the damage (which she took from one hit)
- She didn't hear no bell!
- Mirnac bows again, says another haiku. Thankfully this is a free action.
- Mirnac then summons an illusory clone of herself on a nearby table, which mimics her actions.
- Okor raises his shield, and adopts a stance to defend Rotrak. He then drops his hammer, and attempts to grab Zoateka's spear.
- The spear resists heavily, but Okor manages to pull it out of the air and into his own hand.
- Zoateka slams her hammer into the ground and causes an earthquake, heavily damaging Okor and taking Rotrak out immediately. She then teleports the spear back to her hand and pounces on Xander.
- Okor tries to stop her but fails.
- Xander's trickster mirror takes the hit for him, being absolutely obliterated (would've been 76 damage!)
- Xander sustains the mirror, giving him back the one he just lost. Zoateka is in his face now, and he has to think fast on his feet.
- He casts a cantrip to try and hit her with fire, but she blocks it with the spear.
- Szfalka slithers out of the difficult terrain and then moves to flank Zoateka with Xander.
- He then tries to stab her and her armour turns his blade away.
- Mirnac rushes to Rotrak's aid, getting as far as she can and casting Cloak of Light (which heals creatures adjacent to her on turn start, which Rotrak currently isn't. Stay tuned)
- Oh she also says another Haiku
- Okor is healed by Mirnac's cloak of light, drops his shield, and then drags Rotrak into Mirnac's range so he'll be healed on his turn (which is next)
- Okor then charges Zoateka, unarmed, and grapples her to restrain her "attacking arms"
- Rotrak is healed by proximity to Mirnac, coughing and spluttering. He stays on the ground, and attempts to cast Blindness on Zoateka. She critically succeeds, but the effort is what's important.
- He then gets a potion out and just lies there, suffering.
- Zoateka, with her upper body arms restrained, goes wild with the tiger claws on her lower body. She crits Szfalka, and Okor, but one of Xander's mirrors takes the hit for him.
- Xander sustains, getting the mirror back.
- He then casts enlarge on Szfalka! Big snek!
- It's all on you now, snake boi
- Szfalka is healed by Mirnac's cloak of late.
- Because Okor is restraining her, Szfalka is able to stab Zoateka!
- He drew blood! She's bleeding! The poison is inaffective.
- He stabs her again! Holy shit! Third hit!
- He also dealt 1 poison damage :)
- Mirnac moves and heals Rotrak with treat wounds. It's a crit success! So much healing!
- It's haiku time, baby!
- She then attempts to cast Holy Light, which hits because Okor is restraining her! Yes!
- Zoateka is weak to Holy, so this means Mirnac has now done the most damage to her.
- Still holding onto Zoateka, Okor begins trying to gore her with his horns, but he can't get enough leverage to hurt her.
- He doesn't maintain the grapple, so she escapes at the end of his turn.
- Rotrak stands up, bleeding from every orifice, cackles and says "looks like we've got you on the run!"
- She is immune to the spell he just tried to cast
- He then picks up his dagger from the ground.
- Zoateka casts Haste on herself, then spins around the stabs the illusory Mirnac, revealing the deception.
- Zoateka smiles at the real Mirnac, as she flicks her spear in the same movement and takes out Szfalka.
- Xander sustains his Mirror, giving him a third mirror
- Xander fishes a spell scroll out of his bag, and casts Shield on himself.
- Mirnac sustains the Cloak of Light, and then treats Szfalka's wounds.
- She then runs up to Okor (being careful to keep Zoateka out of range of the Cloak of Light), and then treats his wounds.
- You know what's up, another haiku
- Okor gores Zoateka with his horns, actually managing to harm her! He then grabs onto her again, restraining her
- He then yells "Are you not entertained yet!?"
- Rotrak moves around Szfalka and sustains the Scrounger's Glee (despite Zoateka being unaffected, he can dismiss it to heal someone)
- He then wiggles his disgusting fingers and casts Enfeeble. She critically fails the save, and is Enfeebled 3 for one minute!
- Rotrak's player lets out the most momentous "wooo!"
- Szfalka, spread out on the floor, slithers back up to his...uhh, feet? Foot?
- He picks up one of his daggers as he goes, and then stabs Zoateka with it
- Zoateka casts Dispel Magic on herself, ending the Enfeeble.
- She then stabs at Xander, destroying another mirror.
- She presses the issue, attacking with her claws and getting through, hitting Xander for half of his health.
- Xander sustains, getting his mirror back. He then casts the spell on his spell scroll, which is Ymeri's Mark. It would've been really cool if she hasn't critically succeeded.
- Mirnac sustains the Cloak of Light and then tries to hit Zoateka with a Divine Lance. Then, obviously, it's time for a haiku.
- Okor moves and picks up his hammer, and then swings at Zoateka's back, two handed.
- It's a really solid hit!
- Rotrak cackles and sustains his spell, which also allows his familiar to sicken Zoateka. It doesn't work :(
- He then moves and casts Call the Blood on Zoateka, causes blood to stream from her nose and mouth and into his (gross). This makes him Sickened.
- Szfalka picks up his other dagger, and attempts (and fails) to stab her with the first one, but his second one crits!
- Rotrak dismisses the spell he's been sustaining for several turns, healing Szfalka for 4 entire hit points.
- Zoateka stands up and adopts a more passive stance, and tells the group she's seen enough. They've impressed her, she will hear their leaders out. If she is persuaded, then the tribes will have access to the forces of the Bitter Shield.
- Rotrak slumps down into a chair and takes a swig of a rakshasa's wine.
- Okor, still raging, smashing the ground up and bit and then pats Mirnac on the head.
- He then says some leadership stuff.
- Zoateka tells them to tend to their wounds, they leave when they're ready.
- Xander slumps into a chair next to Rotrak, and the others gather round the table.
- They have a little debrief. That went rather well!
- Rotrak comments that they actually make a good time!
- Mirnac says that the true "war's most beloved weapon" is the friends they made along the way!
- They all stare at her blankly.
- Mirnac tends to their wounds, looking around intensely (as she does)
- Congratulations team, you've made the situation significantly worse for the other party!
- Yay! (fuck!)
- Mirnac uses a spell to make her eyes kinda sparkly
- Rotrak shuffles away from the group and then vomits up a bunch of flies. Lovely.
- On the way back, Mirnac attempts to give the group (including Zoateka and a contingent of zakya rakshasa) the slip. The odds are too stacked against her, she has no real hope of getting away, so she ends up going back to the tribes in chains.
- Xander strongly considers killing Szfalka on the way back, as he wasn't invited and Xander doesn't know what his ulterior motive was here.
- Xander makes a decision, talks to Zoateka about it, and then tries to kill Szfalka.
- Szfalka senses the way the wind is going and sneaks away before they have a chance to attack him.
- They all return to the Razor Wind camp, with Zoateka in tow.
