History
So comforted were the first races that set eyes on Cadenza Morendo, upon feeling her compassion for their moments of grief, that they devoted her name to describe music. Cadenza, is a virtuoso solo passage inserted into a movement in a concerto or other work, typically near the end. Morendo, in music terms, is a gentle decrescendo at the end of a musical strain indicating a decrease in volume and tempo to make the sound slowly die away.
