Galactic History

Thousands of years ago, a mysterious species now known as the Makors were the first to travel Wildspace and the Astral Sea. Some even descended onto hundreds of crystal spheres and planets, gifting (or perhaps abandoning) spacefaring technology to many civilizations.

The discovery of Makor technology in the Astral Sea is what led to the Holy Elven Empire to begin their exploration and conquering of Wildspace.

A mysterious phenomena that affected all memory and records of the galaxy. 664 years of history is missing from the memories and historical records of every civilization found so far. Even the deities are vague on why, referring only to a vague safety precaution that seemingly worked.

Over a little more than 100 years, several wars were fought between the Gwyndalin Federationand the Scro. The most recent war lasted 15 years and ended in a resounding victory for the Empire and a loss for the Scro Kingdom. Ever since, the Scro Kingdom has been a vassal state to the Empire's broadening sphere of influence.

The Happyhills Concord, a treaty signed by most nations involved in the wars, allowed the Scro to integrate into Gwyndalin life under the condition that their state absorb part of its military into the Empire's. Many Scro weapons were used on rebels in the Red Dust War (also known as the Civil War).

A bloody and short revolution started by rebel miners of a planet full of red Aedra. The rebels aimed to break from the Empire and its tyrannical, oppressive rule, while the Empire sought to keep an iron grip on important resources throughout Wildspace as the revolution spread from sphere to sphere.

It ended in a brutal defeat of the rebels and a resounding victory for the Empire. This victory emboldened the Empire to tighten their iron grip.

8 years after the bloody civil war won by the Gwyndalin Federation, our heroes find themselves in a series of daring escapades.
