Rick is a handsome and athletic young man who stands six feet and two inches tall, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. When D'arcy first meets him, he is an upperclassman, making him two years older than her. She is immediately smitten and they date throughout her time at Elmspire Academy. Aside from being a good student, Rick is pursues a variety of outdoor interests and is the most at home in the forest. He is a scholarship student at the school and has to work during his summers off, unlike his friends. He is deeply in love with D'arcy and wants to marry her, but he can tell that she's not ready (or maybe just not that into him), he is afraid that his inability to have children may effect their relationship.
It has been recently revealed that the conditions of his scholarship are that he does not speak about his origins.
