The most densely packed district of Argentis, filled with many houses and large apartment complexes, named after the Illiadian deity of architecture, the Holy Grand Count of Architecture, Dahnes. It is said that the first buildings in this district were built by Dahnes himself after being summoned by one of his half-mortal children who oversaw the construction of Argentis.
Dahnes' Rest is the cheapest district to live in, and most lower- to lower-middleclass citizens of the city live here. However, unlike many cities where such densely packed and poor areas would be a den for poverty, crime and death, the most dire effects are largely avoided because of the extensive social safety net of The Argentian Republic. Nonetheless, it's considered unwise to visit certain streets and alleys here at night, since, even though crime in this district is much lower than it would be in other cities, it's still present and thieves may make use of the many back-alleys of this district to reach "The Silver Underground", a bustling under-city beneath Argentis where smugglers, thieves and ne'er-do-wells meet.
In the southern part of this district, near the city walls, lies the Dahnes' Rest Marketplace with its daily farmers market, as well as the occasional fair or circus.
