Dahnes is the Holy Grand Count of Architecture, and the Illiadian deity of Civilization, Builders, Architects and Cities. He often takes on the appearance of a Ree-Mai. According to legend, Dahnes was the one who the one who provided the first Illiadians with shelter in the form of their first homes. He also taught them how to build monuments and how to make artistic architecture. As architecture evolved over the following eras, so did Dahnes, as he was time and time again inspired by the magic that the Illiadians could work when building their homes and structures.
While primarily a deity of architecture, and predominantly worshiped by architects and construction workers, he is also considered a deity of civilization, as civilization and cities couldn't exist without buildings and architecture. Thus, he also has worshipers in government positions; specifically those that deal with infrastructure and laws.
Dahnes directly serves Rencal Kei-Rhai and The Golden Scribe, and his realm within the cathedrals is "The Architect's City", a city filled with artful and varied architecture and pleasing art installations. It is said he often gets visits from Idorik, the Illiadian deity if sight, aesthetics and art.
Basic tenets of Dahnes:
- Architecture is an art. Buildings shouldn't just be practical, but also aesthetically pleasing, as both form and function brings happiness all who use such buildings.
- Civilization requires structure, and so does architecture. Keep the order where you can.
- No one should be without a home. Help those that require shelter, and if possible, give them shelter yourself.
