Inio is the Illiadian Holy Grand Count of War, righteous fury, and protection of the weak. However, according to scripture, he is not particularly happy about being the god of war, and it was never his choice to be the one to lord over the concept of War in the first place; in fact, Inio detests violence, and fighting for egotistical reasons, and prefers peaceful
resolutions; which is why he often takes on the form of a young Mikaru child in Ill-fitting armor, to remind
people of the horrors of war, and the importance of the protection of the weak. Legends say that, should you ever be on the battlefield, and see a child in the corner of your eye, radiating the soft, blueish-green glow of divine Ena, you can rest easy, as Inio has chosen to protect you, and your odds of surviving the battle have risen dramatically. On the flipside, it has been said that armies that fight under leaders that wage war for selfish reasons, yet invoke Inio's name, are always doomed to failure eventually, as He between War and Peace never lets these misuses of his values stand.
It is often said that Inio's avatar often largely resembles Rencal Kei-Rhai's Mikaru avatar, only that it appears much younger. This, according to some members of the clergy, is because Inio is very similar to Rencal in many ways, and one of the reasons why Inio chose to only serve directly under Rencal, and no other deity. He also shares a close connection with Deriel, the Grand Count of Language, as he also is a deity of diplomacy; something that Inio greatly respects.
Basic tenants of Inio
- Only fight for righteous reasons, like the protection of innocents or of your loved ones, and never succumb to selfishness or cruelty. Never have the horrors of war break your sense of right and wrong.
- War only starts when diplomacy fails. Avoid it at all cost, and even if war is unavoidable, always seek peace as fast as possible.
- When the war is over, and peace is achieved, meet your former enemy with kindness, and work together to avoid future bloodshed.
