Lolth

The main goddess of the Drow, head of the Drow-Pantheon and former wife of Corellon Larethian of the elven Pantheon. Lolth, also known as The Spider Queen, was once an important figure in the elven Pantheon called Araushnee, when the elves and their gods still resided together. However, ambitious to a fault, she tried to overthrow her husband and become the leader of the elven pantheon herself. This, understandably, backfired, got her and her children exiled, and resulted in the creation of the drow, as the elves who were following her command got banished to the underdark. Now, as a demon lord within The Abyss, Lolth rules over her drow subjects with cruelty and an iron fist; however, she still lacks full control over her subjects. Her daughter Eilistraee, who rebelled against her, is making sure that this remains so.
