A daughter of the Drow goddess Lolth, Eilistraee is worshiped by a lot of drow that either don't live in the underdark, or don't conform to the usually known drow societal standard. This is due to the fact that Eilistraee is a god of moonlight, song, dance, and, most important, the rejection of the evil ways of Lolth. Lolth-Worshiping drow societies keep her existence secret, so that they don't lose more people, but this hasn't stopped her much; as of the Era of Innovation and Re-Invention, at least 50% of all known Drow worship Eilistraee, or at least are closer to her ideals than to Lolth.
