The Party, now known as Group AG-8, wakes up on their first day in the Headquarters of the Liwilai Adventurer's Guild. Zora, as one of the first people to wake, went with her dog Maya to take a short stroll across the Headquarters, where she met Captain Ukren Schwerter, who was just on his way to everyone's rooms. As the two make their way there, they also meet Mikhail, who was looking around for a way to make himself useful, but sadly failing to find anything to do. In the meantime, Lion'el wakes up and immediately goes on to do some training, while Sooty was doing something on his desk. Philomena meanwhile also wakes up chipper and happy, while Volk has a hard time to properly get out of bed.
Once everyone properly freshened up, they were guided by Ukren to the HQ Cafeteria; but not before running into Zeolon "Scruffy" Nimblehoof and Orlando Fontanez; the former of which speed walked away in terror, much to Orlando's amusement.
In the Cafeteria, the party met the head-cook Ulrich Brauer and his apprentice Kilbi Leaftooth, who, happy about the new arrivals, made a lavish meal for the entire party (sans Sooty, as Sooty doesn't eat). After a good breakfast, Ukren brought the party to the Headquarters' archives, where, after Ukren made sure that Maylin Aeleni wasn't in right now, introduced the party to Beheilu Assefa, a recently graduated apprentice of Maylin's and one of the leading researchers at the HQ.
With some more introductions later on, to Arrelcu Prasinus who gifted Sooty a scroll of Detect Magic as a first-time gift, and Esme O'Doherty who not only gifted the party two scrolls of Gentle Repose but also was absolutely fascinated by Volk and his blessing, it was time for Ukren to show the party their Quest Board, which has been set up near their rooms.
After looking through the Quests for a bit, the group decided to complete two: The first was an extermination mission in a Magic Item Shop in the Dahnes' Rest district of Argentis. The other was a mission to apprehend a suspicious person in the dead of night on the city graveyard.
On the first quest, the party encountered Vinti Caelus, a Rurian Arrash man who also is the owner of the shop "Wondrous Bargains". His shop is infested by Kalke, thieving fiends that steal magic items. The party easily cleared out the infestation and was rewarded with 50 Gold, 2 Potions of Healing, as well as, thanks to a good persuasion roll after the party couldn't decide, a Medal of Valor and an Eaglereign glove. He also took notice of Sooty, and decided to gift them an Enduring Spellbook, a scroll of Burning Hands, a scroll of Comprehend Languages, and a scroll of Detect Thoughts, warning him to not use it willy nilly as it is a restricted spell.
On their second mission, the party went on to investigate the city's graveyard at night... only realizing when the clock struck midnight and they were left in darkness that half the party couldn't see. Turns out the shady individual was Damira Valerija, a student of necromancy at the local mage's school, who was trying to (illegally) hone her skills and get her failing grades up, with the bodies that were graciously donated to her teacher and the The Argentian Institute of Magic and Ena. One extermination of undead later, and Volk destroyed her spell book, much to her dismay. Apologies were had, and she willingly gave herself up to the city guard, lamenting the fines her poor mother would have to pay.
And as the party returned to the Headquarters, and Lion'el confesses to the party that his real first name is actually Dareth, they were, due to a job well done, rewarded with a week off.
And the party levels up to Level 3!
