The first thing that happened this session was the resolving of downtime.

Dareth decided to visit Arrelcu Prasinus to gather his opinion on trying to replicate or transfer the effects of a magic item, the Medal of Valor. However, at the possibility of accidentally destroying the item or overwriting the cape's effect that he wanted to merge with it, he decided against it.

Zora explores the city over the week for something like a fight-pit. There, she finds a bar in the Dahnes' Rest district called "The Hole". She initially was about to be turned away due to not being of drinking age for Humans in Argentis (20). However, upon expressing her interest in looking for a fight pit, she was asked a question: "What sees all that happens in the deepest night?" She had no answer to this, and had to leave, but was reassured that maybe someday, she'd know the answer. She then explored the city some more, finding some landmarks in the process.

Volk completed the first of nine weeks training for the Piercer Feat.

Mikhail bought some Scale Armor at the Irons in the Fire in the Silver Harbour District.

Philomena tried to steal something from someone, but failed, but wasn't caught.

Sooty, due to their players' absence, was skipped for now and their downtime will be addressed next game.

After Downtime on this Saturday, the 20th of Apar, The Party is enjoying their breakfast, made by Kilbi Leaftooth; a nice soft-scramble with chives, bacon, and a garden salad. While the party is currently discussing magic items and who they should belong to,  Captain Ukren Schwerter bumps in and tells them that job-wise, this Saturday seems to be rather barren in terms of quests for their caliber. So, while he's doing the paperwork to have their quest board filter updated for them to get more jobs, he decided to give everyone 10 Platinum Bills and told them to go visit the Dahnes' Rest Marketplace, and maybe have a good time there, as it's usually has the best selection of goods on weekends. With that, the party decided to visit the market.

On their way, Mikhail and Dareth have a bit of a heart-to-heart. And as they enter the Marketplace, they notice that it's not just full of stalls for different goods and products, but also has food stalls and game stalls. Before they explore, they first see Zeolon "Scruffy" Nimblehoof and Ichtaca, as they're currently having their fortunes told.

The old lady telling their fortunes first draws The Dragon Card for Scruffy's past (usually representing greedy people and those who hoard wealth, but likely very literal, as she mentioned that she has been to Svantmiirik, Scruffy's home city, before), the Expert in Reversed Position for his present (apparently representing that he may be skilled, but not in the ways that he would like), and The Giant card for his future (representing Family).

For Ichtaca, she drew The Maze card (representing a past feeling of being lost), the Fates card (representing a more stable fate, seeing his monastic appearance), and the Staff Card (representing how his friends may rely on him sometime in the future).

Ichtaca and Scruffy then had a short conversation with the group, with a suggestion from Dareth that Group AG-7 and Group AG-8 should have a spar again. The Party, sans Zora, then also decided to have their fortunes told.

Dareth's cards were The Warrior (referencing a possible martial upbringing), the Pit (representing a Fall from Grace with much lost) and the Statue (representing a historical event that has ripples into the present and future). This left Dareth a bit shook.

Volk's cards were The Tomb (representing either a secret or a gap in memory), the Lance (someone with noble goals who uses violence to achieve them) and The Fey (which the woman wasn't able to quite make sense of).

Mikhail's cards were The Humanoid (representing Empathy and Kindness), The Priest Card (with the woman speculating that perhaps a person of the cloth might be able to give guidance), and The Monstrosity Card (warning that a familiar person might turn out worse or more monstrous).

Philomena's cards were The Jester in Reversed Position (representing joy at another's' misfortune), the Rogue Card in Reversed Position (interpreted by the woman as a bad act that is now regretted), and The Donjon Card (which is interpreted as a person who may feel like or be at risk of losing freedom).

As the party was about to leave, they met Kilbi and Marlène, as they visited the market to meet a certain tailor for a new dress. They decided to have their fortunes told too. Kilbi's fortune was positive, talking about her craft, but Marlène's ended with the Knight in Reverse; with the woman warning that a trusted person should not be trusted. A bit worried, the two then bid the party goodbye and left for the tailor.

The party then explored the Marketplace.

First, they wanted some magic items, and found the Bazar of Curiosities, run by Mr. Cracklebones; who Mikhail was terrified of, hiding behind Volk. Looking through his inventory, and even through his Lucky Shot (where you can buy an unidentified magic item only to have it identified right then and there, potentially getting a bargain or a bust), the party was able to purchase two pieces of magical candy called Shielded Turtle Sugarbombs, a magical Maul called Ol' Stumpy for Volk, a Battlement Shortbow for Philomena, and a Biting Sickle, gotten through the Lucky Shot, for Zora.

Next, the Party stopped for food at a Grenwalian Sausage food stall, run by a full Orc gentleman. Zora shared a sausage with her dog Maya, while Dareth ate 4 sausages, one of each type, with a side of fries.

Afterwards, the party found a game stall with a game called "Whack-a-Bulette". Some alcohol was won, including a Fine Wine and 1 Platinum Bill by Volk, who got the most points out of everyone.

Just then a scream was heard, and the party saw to their north as two gigantic creatures, an Owlbear and a Leopard-looking thing with snakes on its body, ran loose from their handler, about to attack people. Initiative is Rolled.

One fight and two K.O.'d monstrosities later, as well as a K.O.d dog, the handler of the creatures apologized profusely, as he wanted to sell them to a collector of exotic creatures in the city. The city guards who ran to the scene then questioned the party, temporarily detained the handler and told him to collect his "pets".

Upon returning to the HQ, the party was rewarded once again by a very happy Ukren with 5 Platinum Bills each, as the City Guard told the Guild what happened.

End of Session.
