Returning to where we last left off, the Agate Seekers are making their way through Magrasta, with Zora guiding the party through the streets and back-streets of the city. First, she guided the party to a church of Selûne, the Iglesia de la Luna Azul, to cure him of his acquired Lycanthropy. After a short conversation with the High Elf priestess in charge, he was indeed cured. And then, the party made their way to the estate of Countess Evelyn Nightfall, who very happily greeted the party; particularly Mikhail.
After inviting the party for some snacks and drinks she and the party went over some plans, and she explained the situation. Mikhail actually asked some of her Elite Guard to look over Kort Daum, Zora's adoptive father. However, at one point, he entered an alleyway and didn't come back out. They then did some research, particularly one guardswoman called Mercedes Torrente. It seems like Kort is being put to work by Raul Ammon, Zora's former employer in the criminal underground; particularly as a fighter against beasts in his arena. Worth noting is, the Adventurer's Guild is apparently keeping an eye on Raul's underground fight ring for some reason, at least according to one source. Either way, after some more talking about the situation, everyone, with Zora's help, came up with the following plan: Disguise Zora, bribe the doorman at the fight pit, a person Zora knows called Juan Carlos, as he used to be one of the kids on the streets she knew, while the countess' men create a distraction, so that there's fewer people to stop the party.
The next day, after having spent the night at Countess Nightfall's Magrasta-Estate, the party did just that, with Dareth spending the 500 Gold that, according to Zora's sources, Juan wanted; apparently to buy a house. Thanks to Juan's help, the party was pitted against the beast that Kort and his partner in the battle were supposed to fight; a large mammoth.
A fight was had, the mammoth was slain, and Dareth was just barely holding on, but healed back up when the distraction was sprung by Countess Nightfall. This allowed the party to go further inside the hideout, towards the Animal Pens and Raul's office. During this crawl through thee hideout, Mikhail was able to free a cook who was being forced to cook for Raul's men, being rewarded with a whisk that also acts as a mace, while also being able to shut several doors with simple torches. Philomena Snapdragon, meanwhile, was able to shortly lock a man inside the bathroom, in an attempt to get him out of the picture.
Soon, the party was able to fight themselves through to the Animal Pens, where Kort was indeed kept... alongside a fellow adventurer, who has apparently helped Kort to survive the fights he had been in: A friendly, yet kind of dimwitted-seeming Firbolg man called Genfir Fiellonnen. Kort and Zora had a short but heartfelt reunion, and even though the two armed themselves, were told to stay behind for their own safety.
The party initially made plans to leave the hideout immediately, after freeing Kort. But then, the exit doors slammed shut, and a voice was heard through the Animal Pen. Raul Ammon's Voice: ""You know I can see you, right? Well, Zora, it's so NICE to see you. And I didn't even have to write you an extortion letter yet! Well either way, this ends now. Come to my office. Let's have a talk."
And with that, the party slowly started making their way towards Raul's office, while they're still being attacked by his men, in order to stop them.
