The Night of a Thousand Lashes, as it has become known, was a large-scale pirate raid on the city of Neverwinter, in which hundreds of lives were lost. Pirates of The Unchained ransacked the ports and noble districts of the city, stealing untold riches along the way, and slaughtering all who opposed.
The pirates were driven back by the city guard, with the help of the powerful mages of the Aleran Cassius College of Mages, but not before severe damage was done.
