Midge Bog Marsh
Midge Bog Marsh, situated on the southern edge of Aran Water in the Albion section of the lake, is a foreboding and treacherous landscape. This expansive marshland is characterized by its murky waters, thick fog, and an abundance of gnarly, twisted trees that create an eerie atmosphere. The marsh is a place of danger and mystery, deterring most from venturing too far into its depths.
Within the tangled confines of Midge Bog Marsh lies a coven of particularly unpleasant Hags. These malevolent beings are known for their dark magic and cruel nature, often casting spells and curses on those who dare to intrude upon their territory. The Hags are feared by all who know of them, their presence adding to the ominous reputation of the marsh.
The marsh is also home to a black dragon wyrmling hatchery. These young dragons, though not yet fully grown, are already formidable creatures, fiercely protective of their territory and their kin. The presence of these wyrmlings indicates that there may be an adult black dragon nearby, adding another layer of danger to the marshland.
In addition to the Hags and dragon wyrmlings, packs of Kobolds also inhabit Midge Bog Marsh. These small, reptilian creatures are cunning and resourceful, using the marsh's natural features to their advantage. They often set traps and ambush unwary travelers, making them a significant threat despite their diminutive size.
The combination of these dangerous inhabitants makes Midge Bog Marsh a perilous place, shrouded in mystery and fear. Those who venture into the marsh must be prepared to face the dark magic of the Hags, the ferocity of the dragon wyrmlings, and the cunning of the Kobolds. Few who enter Midge Bog Marsh return unchanged, and many never return at all.
