The High Moor is a vast upland district of bleak moorland north of Vale City covering over 3000 square miles.

Dominated by gritstone moorland and limestone valleys and gorges. Sculptured by an ancient ice age the various rock types beneath the soil strongly influence the landscape.

There are few sharp peaks with plenty of rounded hills, plateaux, valleys, gorges and escarpments. The Highest point is the afore mention plateaux.

Several rivers have their sources on the Moorland plateau.

The weather is unpredictable and can easily catch travellers out, rain is the most common feature. The High Moor clag is a frequent sight.

A semi-permanent camp has been built halfway across the moor to help elevate the difficulties of crossing the moor.

Giant Moor Cats prowl the moors looking for prey, Ground Sloth, Woolly Mammoth, Giant Armadillo, and Giant Boar. However, slow-moving caravans and small groups of solo travellers can sometimes be targeted.

Numerous Fairy Rings can be found in secluded hollows.

Long abandoned subterranean villages and temples dot the landscape, most are ruined but some are occupied by more fearsome denizens.
