With Odessa defeated, and Boras d'Cannith’s plans in ruins, the Jade Foxes returned to Sharn in the knowledge that they had prevented the Last War from erupting once again. Over the next few months the threat of war began to dissipate, as normal life begins to resume once more. However, tensions still occasionally flaired up on the border between Breland and Aundair, and any hope of a permanent peaceful existence between the two nations seems remote.
Boras d'Cannith was put on trial in Sharn, but the case against him quickly collapsed; rumours of political pressure from House Cannith spread like wildfire throughout Sharn, damaging their reputation even further. The House of Making fell once more into factional in-fighting, with no end in sight.
The Jade Foxes received one last letter from Felicia d'Cannith, offering her profound thanks for everything that you have done. Unfortunately as her actions have resulted in House Cannith's fortunes waning once more, she had been exiled by the House of Making. She told her friends that she was taking her nephew Elias d'Cannith south, to the continent of Xen'drik. There she hoped to start a new life, and perhaps rebuild House Cannith's reputation for artificing in a more peaceful way.
But what of the Jade Foxes?
Canton Busby decided to retire from adventuring, and eventually took up an professorship at Morgrave University.
Kraxor Tyraneroth returned to Q'Barra to inform Kriv's family of his demise, but to ensure his legacy lived on in tales of his heroism. He was then elected to Expert of the Path of Waves by the other masters, following the demise of Odessa. He setup his own enclave in Aundair at the village of Arcanix, in order to spend more time improving on the magic-based part of the Path.
Rahl Morninglow stayed with the Jade Foxes for a while, but without his comrades it wasn't the same. He fell into despair for several years, but eventually clambered his way out of it. He travelled eastwards, to the Lhazaar Principalities, to return home to the feyspire that he had left to many years before.
The Jade Foxes endured, as they always had. Recruits, adventurers and heroes would come and go. But there was always mercenary work to be done; and for the Jade Foxes, their motto remained the same. "The Contract Above All Else."
