STE. Epilogue

With the death of Adira, a power vacuum was created in Second Chance.  Though several other pirates tried to put themselves forward, the crew of The Demon's Mercy were popular enough, thanks to their resupplying of The Bottomless Mermaid and their defeat of The Dreadsails, that it became quickly apparent that they had the support of most of the citizens.  So the potential rivals stepped back, not wishing to fight overwhelming odds.

Amos Black, El Graeve, Kuven, Ying, Tregin and Sacha Cresswell appointed themselves the new ruling council of Second Chance.  They ruled together for a period of time, before half of them decided to leave.  El Graeve decided to run home to Aeranal when he had obtained enough wealth for his family.  Tregin and Sacha Cresswell decided to return together to Sharn.  There they parted ways; Tregin was searching for new arcane secrets, which took him to Morgrave University and other libraries in the City of Towers; while Sacha Cresswell decided to form his own mercenary company, the Blades of Dol Doran, while searching for a way to cure himself of the curse that he had inflicted upon himself with his deal with the Leviathan.  Eventually, only Amos Black, Kuven and Ying remained in Second Chance.

Beyond Second Chance; the Drow continued as they had done for thousands of years.  They were occasionally a threat to Second Chance, but mostly carried on their ancient traditions.

House Cannith did not fare so well; they eventually abandoned Port Starrin, with the members of the House of Making returning to Sharn, or heading south to Xen'drik, to continue to search for ancient relics and technologies left behind by the Giants.

The Sons of the Leviathan were seen on occasion, but no word was ever heard of them ever finding any more Leviathan Keys, or unleashing their master from the storm that continued to rage to the north-east - though admittedly, perhaps less strongly than it had done so before.

Breland continued to keep an eye on the growing power to the south, and many of their merchant vessels began to be guarded by naval ships as they travelled through the archipelago.  The Dark Lanterns eventually abandoned Darkreef Prison, and relocated the prisoners elsewhere.  Still, enough ships were seen in the area that many pirates assumed that they were still operating amongst the islands, as a prelude to a full conflict for control.

The threat of Breland did hamper efforts to expand Second Chance, but nonetheless the pirate city does expand and gain some level of stability; eventually, it could even be said to be thriving.  The name spreads throughout Eberron as place for people wanting a fresh start, so there is a steady influx of new arrivals - though not all are who they say they are.  And there is always the threat that the ruling council may be deposed, as they did to Adira.
