Sanguinius

Lord of Slaughter, The Great Render, The Orc-Breaker, The Arch-Traitor, The Skull King, Lord of Madness

Sanguinius, know to all as the Lord of Slaughter, the Orc Breaker, and the Arch Traitor is the wholly evil, debased and sadistic god of violence and ritualistic murder. During the era of the Dawn War, Sanguinius' blood rage awoke, turning on the other gods once the Primordials were defeated and began his ceaseless war against the other gods, especially his brother Dieus.

Personality and Power

Sanguinius is a wholly malevolent and brutal deity that distanced himself from mere mortals, preferring to reign over his followers from afar. He savored the terror he instilled in others and the hatred that formed in mortals' hearts, utilizing this strife to gain greater control over the Realms. Taking a dark and rather shadowy appearance with a resemblance of dark armor or naught but a tattered loincloth, he emanated an aura of vast power and cruel intelligence which has been wholly lost to his madness.

Among the evil gods, Sanguinius' is the least centralized, his primary worshippers evil orcs as he had struck down Dul in the Dawn War in a fit of rage and jealousy of the other gods and their creations. For if he could not make his own people then he would take those he desired and shape them into his own.

Relationships

While Sanguinius believes himself the rightful ruler of all the planes and would not tolerate subservience to anyone, the god was willing, unlike many evil deities, to work with others if it served his interests and the god formed multiple alliances, though many ended in betrayal. As master of the orcish people the other orcish gods fall under his power, yet they follow him out of fear, not respect as they had with Dul.

Sanguinius does preside over three other evil deities, an alliance of chaos dubbed the Fury of Four alongside Ceiyr, Ereshkigal, and Nerine. Together these four work to sow chaos and occasionally support one another in their endeavors. But as few allies he has, Sanguinius has thrice the foes, including Myriddin whose powers he coveted and Bezel, who stole from him many times.
