Nerine

Great Queen of the Sea, Queen of the Depths, Goddess of Oceans, Sea Queen, Dweller of the Deeps, Goddess of the Wild Seas
Deity

Nerine, the evil sea goddess of the Realms, most often prayed to by sailors, pirates, and others living by or near the sea, purely out of fear of her destructive powers. Known to be a malicious, petty, greedy, and downright vain goddess who reveled in her own might and did not hesitate to drown people or overturn ships on nothing but a whim.

Personality and Power

Nerine is nothing but temperamental, evil, and downright malicious. She feels no moral obligation to honor any agreement or promise if the end result is anything but beneficial to her and her desire for the valuables and excessive tributes, characterizing her insatiable greed and cruelty. Power-hungry and she found joy in flexing her might and power, even against her own worshippers, she is sadistic by nature to destroying naval vessels on a whim and letting the shipwrecked victims be eaten by sharks and drown.

Relationships

Nerine is strongly opposed by Karina, the goddess of the moon, who wishes to guide travelers safely home and Neia, the elvish goddess of stars, whose stars guide navigators at sea. She also despises Frigg, the god of nature, for her dominion over land and the claim that she is Nerine's mother.

Nerine is one of the members of the Fury of Four, led by the blood god Sanguinius. Although he is her superior he often attempts to usurp her power over the seas and the storms that dwell there, wishing to fold them into his own portfolio. Despite this, the Queen of the Depths easily distracts him with a romantic relationship, even though her ambitions poise her to do the same to his own portfolio.
