Stats: Pike Guard
The Goldguard were the imperial guard force of the Olessar Empire. They were commanded by Guardian Kaelen Dawnbringer. Dispersed through most towns, cities, and forts within Olessar, the Goldguard enforced the laws, kept the peace, and guarded the supported religions established by the emperor.
The Goldguard uniform consisted of golden-hued Cuirass, a matching helmet, and a halberd. As such, individuals and companies of Goldguard were loud, easily identifiable, and not terribly mobile. Their strengths lied in their individual sturdiness, intimidating presence, and organization when commanded by a competent captain or commander.
A smaller, elite force of the Goldguard dedicated more wholly to the internal peacekeeping and crime-pursuing within Sedesend was the Fury, commanded by Warmaster Thorne Wolfsbane.
