Qir'ellan'alak is divided into 6 wards, each dominated by a particular population. These wards all expand out from the city square: Bloodless Center, home of Rathian Hall.
- The Drow Ward dominates the western side of Qir'ellan'alak, and surrounds the most common entrance to the city. The buildings are tall, multi leveled, and made primarily of dark wood. Arches and spires are common architectural style, with the neighborhood reflecting the Drow elven heritage while also staying true to their underground existence.
- The Duergar Ward is in the southwest-west, and is made of of squat stone-brick buildings.
Drow Ward Locations:
- Azaetha Starstride's home: a cozy Victorian-style home near Bloodless Center. The walls of her home are almost entirely populated by books and scrolls, and she does most of her arcane learning and studying with the materials here.
- Distilled Myths, a magic item shop managed by the drow sorcerer Soma. A lavish, darkwood building which looks doubles as a wine cellar: dark wood casks line the walls and magical distillation tools craft the finest of wines as well as imbue the magical weapons within.
Duergar Ward Locations:
- Depthsong Tavern, a rowdy Duergar drinking hole managed by Don Tristurro
