Alden Maelstrom was an elderly wizard with dark skin and a wild afro of white hair and a pointed white beard. He usually acted assertive yet disorganized, easily getting sidetracked or distracted.
Alden Maelstrom felt compelled to always keep himself occupied, his mind constantly jumping between ideas and tasks. To help him manage the store, Alden set up a magic bell used by customers to summon him. When away from the store, Alden resided in his tower, Finial Tower, enchanting new stock for his store and engaging in arcane study and experimentation.
Alden managed the magic item store Bottled Lightning in Sedesend, within the Ridge Ward. He also specialized in lightning magic and spells, as well as magics concerning weather.
