It's thought that the first person to discover the potential behind the powered gene was Dr Hardy Weber, whose serums are believed to have unwittingly activated his dormant powered gene for short durations. The current leading expert in the research on the powered gene is Dr Alexander Jimenez, his work at H.E.A.R.T. Labs is working towards a way of dampening the abilities of powered criminals, and potentially creating a cure for those who no longer want their abilities.
