Following the two major successes of the Taskforce during World War II and the Korean War, they were continuously deployed throughout the world in minor capacities. In January of 1968, they were sent to Saigon, stationed there for a week of downtime before their movement elsewhere in the region. They were caught up in the Tet Offensive, they saved many American and Vietnamese lives, but they lost one of their own, their own leader, towards the end of the Battle of Hue. After the battle was won, the remaining members tendered their resignations to the the United States Armed Forces. Using a warehouse in Brownbridge as their headquarters, they would reconvene if the nation ever needed them, but they split up, returning to their hometowns, becoming solo acts.
