Professor Evan Hagan, also known as Melt, the expert of mysticism and the occult for the Taskforce, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 in Light City, Pennsylvania. He died surrounded by his partner, Leonard Sumner, the hero known as Gavel, and his two mentees, Nuri Saetta and Boris Zima. He was buried according to modern pagan traditions, in the Allegheny National Forest near Light City, and his suit was put up in memorial next to the one of his close friend, Dr Hardy Weber, in the Taskforce's headquarters His two magical rings were given to his mentees, Lhabah going to Nuri and Qerh going to Boris.
For the entire month after Professor Hagan's passing, the state of Pennsylvania experienced the most dramatic changes in temperature that the state had ever seen. The beginning of the month was a terrible heat wave, with the middle of the month changing day to day or even multiple times the same day, and the end being a horrendous cold snap.
