The Mystical Order is an organization that is focused on exploring and understanding the mysteries of the universe. They believe in the power of magic and the supernatural, and they seek to uncover the secrets of these phenomena through meditation, study, and mystical rituals.
The Mystical Order is structured with a council of masters at its head, who are responsible for overseeing the activities of the order and making important decisions. The council is led by a single leader, who serves as the main representative of the order to the outside world and makes final decisions on all matters.
Each master on the council specializes in a particular aspect of mysticism, such as divination, magic, meditation, or spiritualism. They work together to advance the goals of the order, which include expanding their knowledge of the mystical arts and sharing that knowledge with the wider community. The masters also mentor apprentices and initiate new members into the order, helping to ensure that the traditions and practices of the Mystical Order are passed down to future generations.
The leader of this council is the Grand Master of the Mystical Arts. The current Grand Master is Eilif Grovemister.
Wood elves are more likely to be members of the Mystical Order, as their approach to knowledge is more grounded in the spiritual. However, members of other orders may also participate in the ceremonies and worship at the temples.
Practices
The Mystical Order has practices centred around meditation, divination, and intuition. They believe in tapping into the energies of the universe and using this knowledge to gain insight and understanding of the world around them. They engage in rituals such as dream work, scrying, and vision quests to deepen their connection with the divine and to gain a deeper understanding of their own psychic abilities. They also engage in studies of alchemy, herbalism, and astrology to better understand the world and the forces that influence it. They also use tarot cards, pendulums, and other divination tools to gain insight and guidance.
Festivals
The Mystical Order focuses on the festivals that emphasize magic, divination, and spirituality, such as Samhain, Imbolc, and Midsummer. These festivals are seen as times of increased spiritual energy, and the Mystical Order would use them for meditation, divination, and magical rituals. They may also hold private ceremonies to mark these events, where members can come together to commune with the gods, spirits, and each other.
Structure
The structure of the Mystical Order is hierarchical, with different ranks reflecting the level of mastery and understanding of the members. The ranks in the Mystical Order are:
- Apprentice: This is the starting rank for those who are just beginning their studies in the mystical arts. They are tasked with learning the basics of magic and the supernatural, as well as the history and traditions of the Mystical Order.
- Journeyman: This rank is for those who have demonstrated a deeper understanding of the mystical arts and have begun to explore more advanced concepts. They are often tasked with assisting in the initiation of new apprentices.
- Adept: This rank is for those who have demonstrated mastery of the mystical arts and have made significant contributions to the order. They are often responsible for leading rituals and meditation sessions, as well as guiding and mentoring those of lower rank.
- Master: This is the highest rank in the Mystical Order, and is reserved for those who have achieved a level of mastery and understanding that is truly exceptional. They are responsible for overseeing the order as a whole, and for setting the direction and goals of the order.
The focus of the Mystical Order is on the exploration and understanding of the supernatural and the magical world. They are particularly interested in understanding the nature of magic and the relationship between magic and the physical world. They believe that by exploring these mysteries, they can gain greater insight into the nature of reality itself.
