Spear of the Hunter

Dormant State

This weapon counts as a +1 magical spear. On a hit, deals 1d6 piercing damage (1d8 versatile)

On a hit, the target must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a fail, the target is knocked prone. Attunement is required to wield this weapon and attunement will reveal that there may be more to this weapon in time.


Awakened State

The bonus to attack and damage rolls with this weapon increases from +1 to +2.

On a hit, if the target has taken damage from this weapon before, it takes an additional 1d4 poison damage.

On a hit, the wielder may choose to have the target make a Constitution saving throw (to paralyze), or a Strength Saving Throw (to knock prone.) The DC for these saves increases from 15 to 16.


Exalted State

The bonus to attack and damage rolls with this weapon increases from +2 to +3.

The bonus damage, when a target has taken damage from this weapon before, is increased from 1d4 poison damage to 2d4 poison damage.

The DC for Paralyze or Prone effects increases from 16 to 17.
