The Nedic peoples (singular Nede, plural Nedes) are a human race that existed within the realms of Tamriel before the migrations of humans and elves from other lands in the Merethic era. They inhabited many regions of Tamriel including modern day Skyrim, Morrowind, Cyrodiil, High Rock, Hammerfell, and Black Marsh. While several different tribal entities that were not one singular race, but an collective of different primitive peoples, they still had high levels of civilization, society, and religion for the day. A majority of Nedic peoples became enslaved by the Ayleid Empire and went into decline over several centuries due to several different interactions with immigrating humans and elves from afar.

Though separate racial and political entities, the Nedic Tribes did form a Council, where the kings of each tribe would convene and communicate over Nedic issues as a whole when the invasions of several entities threatened their homes as a whole. The Nedic peoples eventually died off over time due to the actions of an Altmer Lich and the deaths of all the kings on the council.
